Course Descripiton: 

AzPA offers this course to prepare pharmacy technicians** to successfully pass PTCB’s technician certification exam. In seven online sessions discover and develop techniques to help you study and prepare for the PTCB Exam.  Each mandatory webinar will involve introductory presentation from a pharmacist with expertise on the subject and includes accompanying handouts.

*Class requirements: Internet connectivity, Windows Media Player and Adobe Acrobat Reader are required for participation in this class.

  • PC-based attendees: Required: Windows® 7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server
  • Macintosh®-based attendees: Required: Mac OS® X 10.6 or newer
  • Mobile attendees: Required: iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phone or Android tablet

  • Pharmacy Certified Technician Training Manual 13th Edition (includes CD-ROM) (included in course fee)

  • Be sure to study the "Top Drugs"handout before attempting to take the practice exams.
Practice Test Instructions:
  • Once you have completed the webinars you are ready to take the practice exams. 
  • There are 5 practice tests located in the [Practice Tests] tab. Use these to practice your skills and knowledge as you work through the course materials. The answers are found at the back of the test.
  • Note: Do not take the final exam until you can successfully pass these practice tests. You will get only one attempt at the final.
Final Exam Instructions:
  • The Final Exam is found in [Final Exam] tab. NOTE: you will get one attempt to take the online final
